Our Terms and Conditions

A not-for-profit organisation, we provide:

  • Corporate services, including training and consultancy (Petros for Business)
  • Research services, such as evaluation of interventions and measuring (psychological) treatment effectiveness (Petros Research)
  • Social enterprise services aimed at developing resilience in behaviourally challenging children (Petros for Children). A proportion of our corporate earnings is used for the provision of high quality interventions for children and their adult carers. 

Petros Ltd, (Petros, ‘us’, ‘we’ or ‘our’) is a company limited by guarantee, company no: 08811750 based at Main Street, Heslington, York. YO10 5EA. We aim to act in good faith and in as transparent and collaborative way as possible. In commissioning or booking us to provide you (the client or commissioning body) with any of our services, our provision is conditional upon your acceptance and compliance with the following terms and conditions:

Our fees are based on sector, size and ability to pay, particularly in relation to individuals and charities. Our fees are reviewed annually; however, once booked, fees will not alter, unless your requirements do.

  1. Bookings cancelled one month or more prior to an event incur no fee.
  2. Bookings cancelled at or within two weeks of an event, incur a 50% fee payment.
  3. Bookings cancelled at or within one week prior to an event incur a 100% fee payment.

Our invoice terms are strictly 30 days net. For any invoice left unpaid outside our terms, we reserve the right to make a statutory interest charge of 8% over Bank of England Base Rate charged per month compound.

Our events: Trainer/presenter substitutions may be made at any time without notice. In the event of circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to amend or cancel any event and we are not liable for any expense incurred by delegates as a result of cancellation.

Our professionalism and confidentiality: We respect you and your business and will make all reasonable efforts to keep your information and associated documentation confidential, unless requested by law or with written consent from you. Our qualified associates are members of professional bodies, including the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Psychological Society (BPS), UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). All act in accordance with a code of practice and carry their own professional indemnity insurance. Practitioners are required to keep contents of sessions confidential unless the participant is considered a risk to themselves or others. In such cases steps will be taken to keep the individual and others safe.

Unauthorised use of our material including reproduction, storage, modification, distribution or republication without our prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

Our promotion & social media: We abide by current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We regularly seek the right to use feedback, comment or photography from, or of, you, your employees or representatives for the promotion of our events, products, research and wider services. It is not obligatory and we only do so with your written permission.

Alterations to our services, products, website, policies or these terms and conditions: We reserve the right to make changes at any time. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you use the website or contracted with us, unless changes are required by law or government authority. If any of these conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining conditions.

Our contracts are concluded in English and are subject to the laws and exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
